The official US trailer for Hayao Miyazaki’s ’Ponyo’
Disney has released the official US trailer for Hayao Miyazaki’s latest animated film, ‘Ponyo’ (or as it’s known in Japan ‘Ponyo on the Cliff’. ‘Ponyo’ is also written and directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki who directed such films as ‘Castle in the Sky’, ‘My Neighbor Totoro’, ‘Princess Mononoke’, ‘Spirited Away’, and ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’.
The official plot synopsis for ‘Ponyo’ is listed as “An animated adventure centered on a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human.”
This film features the voice talents Frankie Jonas, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cloris Leachman, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin and Betty White.
‘Ponyo’ is scheduled to hit theaters on August 14th.

its pretty funny, i used to get excited about a movie coming out if it was computer animated. now, in 2009 i get super pumped just to see some good ol’ cel animation. weird. this looks really awesome
